Quandoo and GloriaFood Are Closing Down: What to Do Next
By Bruno Melani, founder of Gaplessly · · 6 min read

The short answer
Quandoo is closing entirely: new reservations stopped on 30 September 2026, and it is fully offline by 31 December 2026.
GloriaFood, a separate online ordering tool, is closed to new signups but still supports existing customers, so each closure needs its own next step.
How Quandoo and GloriaFood differ
Recent coverage often groups Quandoo and GloriaFood together, but they do different jobs and are closing in different ways. Quandoo is a restaurant table reservation platform, in the same category as OpenTable or SevenRooms. GloriaFood is an online food-ordering system for delivery and pickup menus. Both are closing to new business, and each company has said so in its own notice.
Quandoo for restaurants: what closes, and when
Quandoo has announced a phased wind-down. New reservations stopped on 30 September 2026 and all consumer services end on 1 October. The website, app and remaining infrastructure go permanently offline by 31 December 2026. In Quandoo's words: "Our platform will continue to operate, allowing you to discover restaurants and make new reservations until 30th September 2026."
- Reservation and guest data can be exported only through 30 November 2026. For a venue, that deadline matters more than the later shutdown dates.
- Diner reviews can't be exported to any other platform, by Quandoo's own account.
- Quandoo states it offers no hands-on migration help, only "key information" to move on your own.
- The restaurant-partner dashboard is Quandoo Business Center, not "Quandoo Admin" or "Quandoo Manager", and a separate Pro login also exists. The old restaurant-partner marketing site, "Quandoo for Restaurants," is already down to a bare closure notice.
The Quandoo alternative page has the full sourced breakdown, a feature-by-feature comparison and a free migration offer for the first 50 venues. Moving from Quandoo? Enter QUANDOO10 at checkout for 10% off your first 6 months, or your whole first year on yearly billing, until 30 November 2026. It doesn't combine with other discounts.
Quandoo alternatives for Australian restaurants
Every platform below takes table bookings. They differ in how they charge and how soon you can be live, and the second matters with Quandoo's export deadline on 30 November. From each vendor's own pricing page:
- Now Book It: an Australian platform with 24/7 support. It does not publish prices: you book a demo and get a quote.
- SevenRooms: priced by quote, with a one-time setup fee and a guided onboarding it describes as going live "within a few weeks". Built for larger venues and groups.
- OpenTable: a monthly subscription plus a fee for each diner seated from its own network, on a one-year contract that renews automatically. The fee pays for the new diners that network can bring you.
- ResDiary: the core plan is priced by quote after a demo, and add-on modules are sold separately.
- Gaplessly: a flat monthly price published on the site, no fee per cover, and you can set it up yourself. For the first 50 venues, Gaplessly builds the floor plan and does the setup within 48 hours at no cost.
Each one has its own side-by-side page, with the vendor's figures and the cases where it is the better choice, under Named comparisons below.
GloriaFood: closed to new signups, existing customers still supported
A banner on GloriaFood's homepage currently reads: "GloriaFood has been discontinued and is no longer accepting new signups. We are fully committed to supporting our existing customers throughout this transition." That is narrower than Quandoo's notice: new signups are closed, and existing customers are still supported. GloriaFood hasn't published an end date for that support on its own site.
GloriaFood is an online ordering system for menus, delivery and pickup. Gaplessly doesn't do online food ordering, so if you came here looking for a new ordering system to replace GloriaFood, Gaplessly isn't it.
Table bookings or online ordering: which one you need
A restaurant on Quandoo takes table bookings. A restaurant on GloriaFood takes delivery and pickup orders off a menu. Plenty of venues run both for different parts of the business, and it's easy to land on the wrong closure while searching. Someone searching "Quandoo menu" usually wants online ordering; someone searching "GloriaFood booking" usually wants table reservations.
Gaplessly covers the reservation side: table and floor management, deposits and no-show protection, a waitlist and walk-in queue, group enquiries, and a branded booking page, all on a flat published plan. It does not cover online food ordering, so a restaurant replacing GloriaFood's ordering needs a different tool for that half of the business.
