A Now Book It alternative with a price you can actually read
The short answer
Now Book It publishes no price or plan names anywhere. You get a quote only after booking a demo. Gaplessly publishes every venue price on the pricing page itself: Venue Starter is free up to 35 bookings a month and A$49 in a busier one, Venue Growth is A$99 a month and Venue Pro A$199.
Now Book It pricing, side by side with ours
Now Book It's figures were read off their own pricing page on 15 August 2026. Check them at the source before deciding, and tell us if anything here has gone out of date.
Now Book It

The strength worth naming before anything else
Now Book It's own site does not shy away from its best answer to "why choose us": a 24/7 support line, staffed, by their own description, by people who come from hospitality.
This page will not pretend that is not real. Naming it first is what makes the rest of it worth reading.
The number they will not give you until you call
Their own help centre states it outright: they do not provide pricing upfront, because costs "can vary based on your venue's specific needs and setup". The path to a figure is a demo, then, in their own words, "a tailored quote" afterwards. There is no self-serve signup and no free trial anywhere on their site to try the product without that call.
Our number is not tailored and it is not behind a call. Venue Starter, Venue Growth and Venue Pro are all published on the pricing page, in Australian dollars, before you have spoken to anyone. You can compare them, budget against them and decide, entirely on your own time.
This is not a claim about which one is cheaper. Nobody outside a signed contract knows that, including us. It is a claim about which one you can read.
What a solo founder can do that a call centre cannot
Bruno built this platform after years working in venues, and he still answers the phone. Set against a 24/7 rostered support team, that is a genuine trade in the other direction: one person who will come to your venue, look at your actual floor, and set the whole thing up with you in person, for free, for the first 50 venues that ask.
- Build a whole run of tables in one action, named and seated, instead of adding them one at a time.
- Close a floor, a room or one table to online booking in two taps, for a function, a clean or anything else, and reopen it the same way.
- Let guests choose which room they sit in, checked against real availability rather than filed as a note.
Where the big-group enquiry actually goes
Above your online party limit, the booking page swaps the time grid for an enquiry form instead of turning the guest away. Their message becomes a real thread in the same inbox as your bookings, tagged so it does not get missed, and converts into a held reservation from the same screen once you have agreed the details, without anyone retyping a phone number.
We looked for an equivalent tracked-enquiry record on Now Book It's own site and could not find one publicly documented. If that has changed since, tell us and we will correct this page, including when the correction favours them.
When Now Book It is the right choice
You want the reassurance of a large, established local vendor and you are comfortable trading a published price for a sales call that gets you a plan matched to your venue. Their own site is upfront about that trade: no price sheet, a quote after a demo, and a round-the-clock local support line once you are signed on. If a phone call away, any hour, matters more to you than reading a number before you talk to anyone, that is a real reason to choose them.
Common questions
How does the price compare with Now Book It?
It does not, honestly. Now Book It's price is not published anywhere, so there is nothing to hold ours against. What we can tell you is our own numbers: Venue Starter is free up to 35 bookings a month and A$49 in a busier one, Venue Growth is A$99 a month and Venue Pro A$199, all on the pricing page before you talk to anyone.
Does Now Book It offer a free trial?
Not that we could find anywhere on their site. Every call to action on nowbookit.com leads to booking a demo, not a trial or a self-serve signup. Our own live demo runs the full product with example businesses and needs no account, signing up for real does not require a sales call either, and your first business gets a 30-day free trial with no card needed.
How do you actually find out what Now Book It costs?
By their own account, you book a demo and their team follows up afterwards with what they call a tailored quote. There is no price list and no plan names with figures published anywhere to compare before that call happens.
How does Now Book It compare with TheFork?
TheFork is no longer an option for an Australian venue. It stopped operating in Australia on 31 March 2024, citing a "reduction of TheFork's geographical footprint", and thefork.com.au now redirects to its global site. If you are weighing Now Book It against another platform instead, the difference this page is about still applies: Now Book It quotes a price after a demo, and ours is published.
How does Now Book It compare with Quandoo?
Quandoo is closing. It stopped taking new reservations on 30 September 2026 and goes fully offline by 31 December 2026, so a venue on Quandoo has to move before then. Now Book It is one place to go, and the difference this page is about applies there too: its price comes after a demo, while ours is on the pricing page.
Can you move our floor plan and upcoming bookings across from Now Book It?
Yes. Export what you can and we will rebuild it. For the first 50 venues we do the whole floor and setup ourselves within 48 hours at no cost, so you can compare the real thing against what you use now before deciding anything.
