A genuinely simple, honest pricing page
Credit where it is due: Acuity states its own currency outright, "All prices are in USD," and shows both the monthly and annual-discount rate rather than defaulting to the cheaper number and making you dig for the real one. That is a level of plainness this category does not always manage.
Built for many industries, not one
Acuity's own feature list leans general-purpose: Zoom, Google Meet and GoToMeeting integration for virtual sessions, calendars rather than staff profiles, and a compare page that pits itself against Calendly as much as against salon software. A tutor, a consultant and a hairdresser are all the same customer to Acuity, which is a real strength for some businesses and a real absence of salon-specific tooling for others.
We are the other way around: staff profiles with per-service skill and pricing tiers, a client directory with visit history, and the option to run table reservations from the same login if you also operate a venue. None of that shows up on a page built for scheduling anything.
The currency and the calendar count
Their tiers step at 1, 6 and 36 calendars, priced in US dollars. Ours step at 1, 3 and 10 people, priced in Australian dollars, with a per-seat charge past the included count on Growth and Pro rather than a jump to the next plan.
When Acuity Scheduling is the right choice
Your website already runs on Squarespace and you want one vendor for the site and the scheduling, or your business is not a salon at all: Acuity is built as general-purpose scheduling for coaches, tutors, consultants and classes as much as for hair and beauty. If Zoom, Google Meet or GoToMeeting integration for virtual sessions matters more than salon-specific tools like retail stock or staff commission, it is genuinely built for that.
Common questions
Is Acuity Scheduling built for salons specifically?
Not specifically. Their own site markets it as general-purpose scheduling for coaches, tutors, consultants, classes and health and wellness alike, with virtual-meeting integrations like Zoom and Google Meet front and centre. Salon-specific tools like staff skill-based pricing and retail stock tracking are not part of what it markets.
What currency is Acuity Scheduling priced in?
US dollars, stated outright on their own pricing page: "All prices are in USD." Their published monthly rates are US$20, US$34 and US$61 across the three tiers, before their 20% annual-payment discount.
Does Gaplessly offer an annual discount the way Acuity does?
Yes, on Growth and Pro: pay for 10 months and get 12, which is 2 months free. It is optional, and our pricing page shows each yearly price with the monthly one above it. Solo is monthly only, since a prepaid year would charge for quiet months that would have been free. Acuity discounts 20% for paying a year upfront.
Can I move my client list and services across from Acuity Scheduling?
Yes. Export your data and we will import your clients, services and staff. For the first 50 businesses we do the whole setup ourselves within 48 hours at no cost.
