A GlossGenius alternative priced in Australian dollars
The short answer
On GlossGenius, hiring a 10th person jumps the whole plan from US$56 to US$168 a month, not a seat fee. Gaplessly bills in Australian dollars, with Solo free up to 50 bookings a month, and adds only a small per-seat charge as a team grows.

What GlossGenius does well
A flat 2.6% card-processing rate with no separate charge for Tap to Pay, card-on-file or manual entry is a genuinely clean pitch, and free same-day payouts most of the week is a real convenience most vendors in this category do not bundle in as standard. Their AI Growth Analyst and upcoming AI phone reception are also a real bet on where this category is heading.
The currency question
Their pricing page has no country selector and no Australian dollar figure anywhere on it. The tier boundaries themselves, "up to 9 staff" for Gold and "10+" for Platinum, are also a real wall: hire a tenth person on Gold and the whole plan jumps, not just a seat.
A team of nine on Gold and a team of ten on Platinum are on two different plans with two different prices, both in a currency you likely do not bill in.
What we do instead
- Every price published in Australian dollars, on the pricing page, before you sign up for anything.
- Team-size steps at 3 (Growth) and 10 (Pro), with a per-seat charge past each rather than a jump to a whole new plan.
- The same platform runs table reservations too, for a business that also books a floor.
When GlossGenius is the right choice
You want a modern, AI-leaning platform built specifically for beauty professionals, with one flat card-processing rate and no reader surcharges baked in. If the Growth Analyst assistant or their upcoming AI phone reception matters to you and you are comfortable billing in US dollars, the higher tiers are built around exactly that.
Common questions
How much does GlossGenius cost for a team of nine?
US$56 a month on their Gold tier, their published boundary for teams up to 9. A tenth hire moves the whole business to Platinum at US$168 a month. Figures read from glossgenius.com/pricing on 27 August 2026, published in US dollars with no AUD figure on the page.
Does Gaplessly have a hard team-size wall like Gold's "up to 9"?
No. Growth includes 3 people and adds a seat for A$12 past that; Pro includes 10, adds one for A$10 and never passes A$199 a month for a team of up to 25. Hiring past either number is a small per-seat charge, not a jump to the next plan.
Is GlossGenius's 2.6% processing rate good?
For a flat, no-surcharge rate with no extra fee for Tap to Pay or card-on-file, yes, it is a clean and competitive number as this category goes. It applies regardless of tier, which is worth crediting.
Can I move my client list and services across from GlossGenius?
Yes. Export your data and we will import your clients, services and staff. For the first 50 businesses we do the whole setup ourselves within 48 hours at no cost.
