Academy Learner Notice

1. Who this is for

You created a Gaplessly Academy account yourself, to take the free core courses and keep your progress and certificates. By creating it you agree to this notice and our Acceptable Use Policy. If a business also invites you to its Gaplessly account, the Staff Notice covers that access as well; it is the same login.

You must be at least 16 to create an account.

2. What Academy is, and is not

• The core courses are free. We may change, add or retire courses and lessons, and we may stop offering Academy, with notice by email if we do.
• A Gaplessly certificate says you passed every lesson in a course, with every answer correct. It is not a formal or accredited qualification.
• It is not a Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA), Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG) or food safety certificate, and it does not replace one. Where the law requires one of those for your work, get it from an approved training provider.
• Lessons give general guidance. Your venue’s own procedures, and the law where you work, come first.

3. Your progress belongs to you

• Your core course results, badges and certificates are tied to your account, not to any one venue, so they stay with you when you change jobs.
• A venue you work for sees your progress on the courses and drills it gives you, and on the core courses, while you are on its team. It does not see your account once you leave its team.
• Courses and drills a venue writes itself stay with that venue.

4. Your information

We hold your name, email address, sign-in details, any photo you add, and your lesson results, badges and certificates, so the account works. If you sign up with Google we receive your name, email address and profile photo from Google. We measure how Academy is used, linked to your account ID but not your name or email. The Privacy Policy explains this in full, including where the data is stored.

We keep your account until you delete it, which you can do from your profile at any time. Deleting it removes your progress, badges and certificates. Questions about your information go to privacy@gaplessly.com.
