The big picture
Gift Cards, at a glance.
Gaplessly gift cards let you issue a stored-value code at the desk and redeem all or part of its balance later. You can enter recipient details, choose an optional expiry and apply a manually entered amount at close-out. This is a desk-managed feature: a public online gift-card shop, automatic delivery emails and split payment at online checkout are not available yet.
Give a future visit a code your team can track
With Marketing access on your plan, you can issue a gift card at the desk with a value and receive a code to hand to the buyer or recipient. You can add a recipient name and email for your records and choose whether the card has an expiry date.
You share the code yourself, in person or through a message you send. Entering an email address does not send an automatic gift-card email. Your Gift Cards tab keeps the original value, remaining balance and status together so your team can find what is left when the holder returns.
Redeem only the amount you need
You can redeem a card from the Gift Cards tab or look it up by code during close-out. Enter the amount to apply and the balance updates, leaving any unused value available for a later visit.
At close-out, your team decides the amount to apply. Gaplessly does not calculate a complete bill and automatically subtract the gift card from it. This keeps the current workflow clear: check the balance, enter the amount you are taking and record the payment with the visit.
Share a balance without promising an online shop
A customer-facing balance page exists for each card under your business booking address. When you share that link, the holder can check the remaining balance without asking your team to open the dashboard. Issuance does not yet deliver that link automatically.
Today you sell and manage the card at the desk. Online gift-card sales, bonus-value promotions, automatic delivery, split gift-card and bank-card checkout, and refunds back to a gift card remain future work. If you need those online selling tools, this first version does not replace them.
