Cafe reservation system

Bookings at ten. Walk-ins all morning.

Most of a cafe’s Saturday walks in off the street. A table of eight still wants 10am for a baby shower, the two-top by the window turns in forty-five minutes, and the queue reaches the door just as the first bookings sit down.

Gaplessly keeps all of it on one floor plan. Set a weekend brunch service with its own hours, a short turn time and a cap on online covers, so bookings take part of the room and the rest stays with the door. Staff can see how long each free table has before its next booking, and a walk-in queue sits on the same dashboard.

Walk-ins and bookings on one floor

Seat a walk-in by choosing the party size and tapping a free table. Each free table shows the time until its next booking, so staff can see whether a walk-in fits before the 10.30 arrives.

A brunch service with a short turn

Give weekend brunch its own hours, last seating and turn time, with a different turn by party size if you want one. An optional cap limits how many guests online bookings can seat at once, which leaves the rest of the room for the door.

A queue for the brunch rush

Add a party with a quoted wait, or switch on the online line and let guests join from a QR code. They follow their place on their phone and get an email when their table is ready. A table-ready text for parties your host added works when your plan has SMS access.

Tables kept back for the door

Mark the courtyard or the window bar as not sold online and those tables stay off your booking page. Stop online bookings for a date or a single service when the morning is already full, and keep seating walk-ins as usual.

From the door. To the last brunch table.

The same venue tools as every Gaplessly restaurant, in the order a cafe reaches for them on a weekend morning.

LIVE FLOOR PLAN

Bookings and walk-ins, on one floor.

Tables, the window bar and the courtyard, arranged like the real place. Each free table shows the time until its next booking, so staff know whether a walk-in fits.

WALK-IN QUEUE

Queue out the door? Let them scan in.

Let guests join today’s line from a QR code and follow their place on their phone, or add them yourself with a quoted wait. A table-ready text works when your plan has SMS access.

SERVICE PERIODS

Brunch gets its own short turn.

Give weekend brunch its own hours, a shorter turn time and an optional cap on online covers. Leave a weekday with no service and it takes no online bookings.

GUEST SELF-SERVICE

Brunch moved to Sunday. Your floor keeps up.

Guests reschedule, cancel or send you a message through their confirmation link. The update lands where you work.

AUTOMATIC REMINDERS

A nudge before brunch.

Confirmations and reminders go out automatically by email, so the group arrives with the details to hand.

ROOM SETUP

From empty room to first coffee.

Add up to fifty tables at once, then arrange the walls, doors and seating around your actual room.

AUSTRALIAN HOLIDAYS

Long weekends, already on the calendar.

Public holidays are filled in for your state, including Anzac Day, ready to set longer hours or close the date.

DEPOSITS & CARD ON FILE

Big brunch tables, protected.

Connect Stripe to take a per-person deposit above a minimum party size, or save a card for your no-show policy. Deposits are included from Venue Growth up, or available as an add-on on smaller plans. You can take bookings without them.

TABLE COMBINING

A table of eight? Push two together.

A group that needs two tables can book them together, straight from your normal booking page. Comes from Venue Growth up.

GIFT CARDS

A little something for their next visit.

Issue a gift card at the desk, share its code and redeem an amount on a future visit. Keep the remaining balance in view. Gift cards come with Marketing, on Venue Pro or as an add-on on Venue Growth.

MEET LESSLY

Ask about the day ahead.

Lessly answers from your bookings, customer details and help articles. It can look things up but never changes anything, and every plan includes a monthly allowance.

STAFF ROSTER

Shifts out. Swaps sorted.

Plan the week by station, publish it to the team, and see wages next to the covers already booked.

STAFF TRAINING

Teach the job. Then your venue.

Short courses for the floor, the bar and safety, plus drills built from your own cocktails, tables and menu.

LOYALTY

Coming soon

Something to look forward to.

Loyalty cards for your customers’ phone wallets are on the way. You can’t issue one yet.

FAQ

Questions worth asking first.

Venue Starter is free up to 35 bookings a month, then A$49 excluding GST in a busier month. Walk-ins seated on arrival do not count towards those bookings, so a cafe that mostly seats from the door can stay in the free band. There is no commission and no cover fee on any plan.
