What to Ask Lessly Before a Busy Day
By Bruno Melani, founder of Gaplessly · · 3 min read

The short answer
Lessly is the AI assistant inside your Gaplessly dashboard.
Ask about today’s bookings, a client, your restaurant floor or how to use a feature.
She reads the information available to your account and helps you understand it; you make any booking changes yourself.
Start with the day in front of you
Before you open several screens, try one specific question: “What does my day look like?” Lessly can read today’s appointments in a salon or clinic, or today’s reservations in a restaurant. The information she can access follows your account permissions.
Treat the answer as a starting point. Open the relevant booking when you need its full details, especially before making a change. If you mean a particular client or part of the day, say so in a follow-up.
Get the context on a client
Try “Find the client with this email address” or “When is this client’s next booking?” Lessly can look up a client by name, email or phone and read their profile, including visits, notes and upcoming bookings.
A full name or email helps distinguish people with similar names. When the answer is ambiguous, clarify who you mean before relying on it. You can use the profile to prepare for the visit; Lessly does not edit the client’s record.
Check the floor before service
For a restaurant or venue, useful starting questions are “Who is waiting for a table?”, “Which tables are free right now?” and “Which group enquiries are still open?” Lessly reads the waitlist, floor and enquiries available in your dashboard.
The floor can change while you are reading. Check its current state before seating a party or moving a table assignment. Lessly supplies context; the Floor screen is where you carry out the work.
Find the next screen without hunting for it
Ask a product question such as “How do I set up a service?” Lessly can search the help centre and point you towards the relevant instructions. A question with a clear task is easier to answer than “Help me fix everything.”
You can also attach a CSV or Excel file and ask a focused question about it. Keep the question tied to what is in the file, and read any limits Lessly reports about how much of it she could inspect.
Keep the decision with your team
Lessly is an AI assistant for the team inside Gaplessly. She does not answer your phone, talk to guests on your booking page or create, move or cancel bookings. An answer or suggested follow-up is not a completed action.
Start with one question, check the detail that matters and use the normal dashboard screen to make the change. When something is missing or unclear, ask a follow-up instead of filling in the gap yourself.
